Ida B. Wells notebook

Wells-Barnett (1862–1931) was a crusader for justice whose courage and determination helped lay the foundation for the modern civil rights movement. As a pioneering journalist, she used the power of the written word to expose the brutal truth of lynching in America, risking her own safety to confront systemic racism. Wells championed equality not only for Black Americans but also women throughout the land. She was one of the founders of the NAACP, dedicated to securing justice and dignity for all people.
